Traffic cut in carretera antigua de Málaga
Due date for the supression of parking area and traffic cuts in ctra. antigua de Málaga (between Washington Irving St and María Goyri St) will be according to following plan:
From 15/06/26 to 30/06/26.- Supression of parking places and PARTIAL TRAFFIC CUT, keeping two lanes open to traffic (one per direction)
From 01/07/26 to 19/03/27 (Viernes de Dolores).- Supression of parking places and TOTAL TRAFFIC CUT with free access to garages in the area and for residents.
Previously to total traffic cut there must be carried out some arrangements to improve mobility due to traffic diversions and specially for public service, both urban and metropolitan:
Implementation of one way only in María Goyri St (section between ctra. antigua de Málaga and Antonia Mercé St) towards avda. Andalucía.
Change of parking spaces on the side of Paseo Rector Antonio Gallego Morell next to buildings.
Arrangement of crossroad in Paseo Rector Antonio Gallego Morell and Washington Irving St that will divert traffic to protect itinerary to CEIP Victoria Eugenia and IES Juan XXIII. The pavement on the corner of street will reduced to ease turning movement of buses to Washington Irving St.
